Zeta Tau Alpha

Clearwater Alumnae Chapter

Mission and Philanthropy

Mission Statement:
To make a difference in the lives of our members by developing the potential of each individual through innovative programming, which emphasizes leadership development, service to others, academic achievement and continued personal growth for women, with a commitment to friendship and the future based on the sisterhood, values and traditions of the past.

Philanthropy:
Zeta Tau Alpha's National Philanthropy is breast cancer education and awareness. We have worked closely with Susan G. Komen for the Cure since 1992 as the first national sponsor of their Race for the Cure Survivor Recognition Program. Locally, our members volunteer at the St. Petersburg Race for the Cure each year in the survivor tent. ZTA partnered with the NFL in 1999 and will hand out over 750,000 breast cancer awareness ribbons in 26 NFL stadiums across the country, including locally with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We also participate in pink ribbon hand outs with the Tampa Bay Rays (baseball) and Tampa Bay Lightning (hockey).
